The winter transfer market is always a time of feverish rumour and possible big-money deals. A number of high-profile players are being linked with moves out of their current teams. This article explores some of the major names who are poised to be on the move this month.

The highly-touted Netherlands teenage midfielder has earned comparisons to a Belgian superstar for his playing style. After impressing at the U19 Euros, he has become a regular in the AZ Alkmaar side. This teenager is heavily tipped to complete a major transfer this month. Newcastle are believed to be frontrunners, but are facing strong rivalry from the Spanish champions for a deal priced at around twenty-two million pounds.
